They are also planning to run some rollerski races on 28th March in Hillingdon – watch the rollerski.co.uk website for more details.
Here’s the link to Bruksvallana results for 2009. Interpretation of Swedish is pretty basic here but it looks like Fiona Hughes took 1st place in the 19-20 Women’s group! Andrew Young came 5th (beating all the Swedes at the competition but one), Callumn Smith 12th and William Newman 33rd out of a field of 50 finishers.
In the women’s over 21 years competition, which was won by Charlotte Kalla in 22:16, Posy Musgrave took 42nd place 3:41 slower than Kalla, Sarah Young took 52nd place 4:26 off the pace. 66 racers completed the race.

Keep an eye for the results next weekend at Beitostoelen.
Eagle eyed visitors to the ski centre today will have noticed members of the BritNordic Ski team trying out their new strips for the 2009/2010 season. The strip this year is sponsored by Trimtex the Norwegian sportswear manufacturer based in Lillesand. Hopefully they will receive lots of positive publicity from our team members this year!

Last Thursday, 6th August Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre. Andrew Musgrave presented a framed bib from his first world cup race in Kusaamo to the club. Andrews’ race was the first British world cup Nordic start in 14 years and definitely worth celebrating.
Sarah Lewis (Secretary General of the International Ski Federation, FIS) recently visited Huntly to look at our facilities. She has written a short article on the FIS website here
Sarah Lewis is a former British alpine skier & holds a prominent positon within FIS.
The official results of the Huntly Sprints are now available, Andrew Musgrave took first place in the Men’s event followed by Andrew Young and Callum Smith (a clean sweep for Huntly!) and Sarah Young won the Ladies event, Fay Potton took second and U16 Katy Homyer took 3rd .
